About Simon
Md.Shahid Hossain,simon widely known as SIMON in our cultural arena. His unique act contains an unusual combination of quirky humour, visual gags & absolutely astounding sleight of hand. The talented combination of pantomime & magic is his unique creation in the art & cultural history of Bangladesh.
Simon has been engaged in cultural activities since he was in school.He learned magic in 1987 from late magician the great aladin(chintehoron malo). He got the reputation for his organizational activities. He was the founder president of pantomime movement.One of founders of OACH(organization of arts for children). Ex-G.Secreteray Bangladesh jadu Unnion parishad(Bnagladesh magic expansion & development board). At present he is the joint secretary of IBM (international brotherhood of magicians) USA. He was a poem recieter & great debator. He was member of university theater also. He learned Puppet in theater from Bodil goransson of Kalmar theater of Sweden & Spanish dance from a renowned Russian dancer.
Professionally he is a fashion clothing merchandiser. At present he is working in Chain store company KappAhl. Previously he used to work in lindex and manufacturing companies like eastwest industrial park, ring shine industries ltd and kuliarchar group.
His knack for art & culture splashes in his magical act.
